I have noticed a couple different virsions of Fry's past.
1. In the first episode and in later ones Fry is a delivery boy and gets frozen in that time capsule thing
2. In that episode with his seven leaf clover where he just disappears.
Can anyone enlighten me to what happened to him when he locked his seven leaf clover in his basement?

Fry hid the seven leaf clover from his older brother, Yancy, in his breaksfast cub vinyl record, which is then put into his record safe before going to work and getting frozen for a 1000 years. The reason for hiding the seven leaf clover was the sibling rivaliry between the two.
A few years later (we assume), Yancy goes threw frys collection for music to play at his wedding and finds the breakfast club record and finds the seven leaf clover. He keeps it, because it reminds him of his younger brother, who his missing and thought to be dead, who he misses very much.
Fry discovers in the future that a Phillip J. Fry has become famous and successful because of his 7 leaf clover. Fry assumes that his brother Yancy stole it and became successful and living fry's dream. He goes to the Phillip Fry's grave to get the seven leaf clover. When he is digging up the grave, he knocks the grave stone and it reveals that he is named after his uncle fry, who was thought to be dead (which is fry). A flashback reveals that it is Yancy's son, and his wife asks him what he want to call him, and he said that he would like to name it after his brother.

The story is all there and its right. The seven leaf clover episode was on last night on Adult Swim so I assuming that's where you saw it. When Fry becomes frozen, he couldn't communicate obviously so his family eventually gave up trying to find him and he became "disappeared."

I am actually watching that EXACT episode on youtube right now.
Fry found the clover, then he had to go to work, he locked it in his safe, and then left to his doomed fate of being stuck in a time capsule.
Poor fry.

He hid it in a record album. A member of his family found it and became rich because of the luck of the clover.

my 11 year old daughter would kill me for saying that. lol. she loves Futurama. she has all four seasons on dvd. shes not here so i cant ask her!
