1. Ruud Van Nistlerooy-He has scored with PSV, Manchester United, and with Real Madrid now. He scores wherever he goes and is perhaps the best finisher out there.
2. Fernado Torres- As Ronaldo and Raul have gone into decline in Madrid, Torres has become an exceptional striker. He is good in the air, but on the ground has good speed, size, and is able to beat defences or set up his teammates.
3. Thierry Henry- His name says it all, speed, quickness, creativity, and hard work get him as many goals as he does.

Basically the criteria should be how you do at the highest level and that's int'l soccer so Miroslav Klose is #1 by far as he comes thru when it counts in two straight World Cups now, #2 and #3...are Fernando Torres and Andriy Shevechenko (despite his rough patch right now at Chelski).
