With tiscali the fair usage policy means that you cant do heavy downloads (e.g. downloading a film that will take 2hrs) between the hours of 6pm-11pm on weekdays. if you do you will get a warning from them that tells you to stop downloading so much, if you do it again then they will put you on a list with other heavy users. this means that although you will still be on an unlimited service, you will experience slower downloads during this time (6-11pm) because you are sharing the bandwidth with other heavy download users.
dont worry though because outside of the 'peak' times, you can download as much as you want for as long as you want.

It depends on your ISP and the terms and conditions of the contract.
I know Tiscali and a load of others restrict high usage to certain times of day. I have AOL platinum and have no restrictions because I pay a lot per month for the privalege.

I personally do not know but surely if you phone them or email them they would give a detailed answer!

And they do have the right to restict your service even though you are paying for 2 meg broadband because whatever they say goes!!

Hope I have helped you!

If they have warned you, take heed.

They will disconnsct you after breeching your limit.

You should have taken an ISP with large or no limits on D/L.

Remember both your D/L and U/L MB's are totalled.

Good Luck

read the fine print...they don't have to warn you...

some ISPs even slow down your service significantly after you've reached certain amount of bandwidth usage...
