Doing stuff on your own is OK. They will only take your kid if the child is being abused or neglected. How old is your son? If he is under a certain age, you cannot leave him home alone, but the laws depend on where you live.

CPS has the authority to take anyone's children if their is evidence of a threat of harm to the children. Some states require more evidence of harm than others. Texas for example is a risk based state. If their is no abuse or neglect regarding your children you have nothing to worry about. The problem that some people face is false allegations of abuse or neglect. During an investigation of alleged abuse or neglect of children it is sometimes viewed as necessary to have the children separated from the alleged perpetrator. Which is usually a relative or close family friend. Sometimes parents do not have such a person and if the children are viewed to be in danger they end up in foster care. It is best to be prepared by having someone in mind that may be able to provide care for your children in such cases. I am a CPS Investigator and have never removed a child from a safe home.

Only if your child is considered to be in immedate danger of harm, either from you or someone else in the home. Also, if your home is disgustingly filthy, if your son displays signs of neglect (malnutrition, being dirty, etc.), then you would have something to worry about. But if you keep your home clean, if your son's needs are tended to, if he has enough food to eat, and clothing, and is getting an education, then you have nothing to worry about. Plenty of people raise children on their own with no support from others, and that is not a valid reason for anyone to take your son away. And if you ARE having problems with food, shelter, etc., then the department of social services is there to help you with things like food stamps, medical care, etc.

As a social worker i can say "no", they should not be able to take your children unless there is some real immediate danger to your child, such as abuse. Children are only removed as a last resort what preventive measures to keep them in the home has failed. Social services recognises that the best place for any child is at home with his parents, so children are only removed when the risk outweighs this important relationship.

From everything I've ever heard you have to be 'proved' unfit before they can take you're children. Unless they have reason to believe hes in immediate danger. For instance if someone called cps and told them you were beating you're son they would visit you're home and check him for bruises check to see if you have food in the house, clean clothes ex. They don't want to take peoples kids away unless they have to.And all too often they don't take the kids that they should. You seem like a concerned enough mother I bet you're doing just fine. Don't waste you're sons childhood by worrying all time just enjoy him while hes little. Good luck and relax.

specific, toddler's are taken from mothers interior hours of delivery, on emergency protection orders, in lots of circumstances Social centers have very little or no information to help such action. The information is supplied by way of the so called docs, who submit deceptive and conflicting comments, interior the kinfolk courtroom section, in one case soreness are advising on, a Pediatrician clinically determined a mom with MSBP, without ever seeing her, or the youngsters in touch, and this so called expert grew to become into no longer even accurately qualified to make such an assumption, yet such action does bring about compelled adoption, gross miscarriages of.Justice, and violation of Human Rights, as they say ALL interior the excellent hobbies OF the baby.

NO, I'm going through the childrens services thing right now. Unless there's abuse, neglect, starvation, or something like that, they can't take the child.

If you are keeping your house clean, feeding your son, keeping him safe and clean, sending him to school on a regular basis (if old enough) not beating him or negating him or anything that causes harm, then nobody can take your son anywhere.Don't be so hard on yourself!!!Do your best and things will be fine.

Why would they???
Sometimes we allquesionur parenting skills. if the child is happy and well adjusted that is okay.
If he is a spoiled and pampered child then you had better take a good look at the situation....
If you are concerned about your skills, take a parenting class or get some reading at the library..
