Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Try hot green tea with honey. This will help to build your immune system.
Also, you need to keep your potasium levels up. Eating banana's can accomplish this.
The old advice with drinking fluids is good advice to help flush out the virus. I prefer just regular water.
For a sore throat you can try gargling with warm salt water. Also, if you have a vitamin or natural foods store close by there is a beeswax product that you spray into your throat that coats it.
The key is getting plenty of good rest. Most cold bugs tend to last anywhere from 5-7 days. It's just a matter of running it's course.
There are really good decongestants out there on the market that will dry up the phlem or mucous that you have associated with your cold. There are also ones that help you sleep. One of my favorites is Nyquil. I take it at bedtime and then sleep the entire night through without coughing, sneezing, or blowing my nose.
Everyone is different. Try and see what works for you. I try to go as natural as I can and then use over the counter meds if they don't work.
Good luck and feel better soon!

You may be using your diaphragm but you must be pushing too hard. For example, you can sing from the gut but when you sing too hard you will still sing out of your throat which can harm your throat. What you need is breath control. With that and your diaphragm you can project loudly and carry your notes better without harming your throat. Here's a tip, try this Take a deep breath and put your hands on your stomach, sing ahhh in your voice range and hold as long as possible projecting loudly. Continue to practice this and you will become a better singer without harming your throat. But in the mean while for that sore throat drink tea and honey.

Cold-Eeze
Several studies have shown that zinc has the power to lessen cold symptoms and shorten the duration of a cold. The form of zinc used to conduct these double-blind studies is found in a product called Cold-Eeze.
Just before Christmas I felt a cold coming on. I bought a box of 18 cold-eeze tablets and began taking one every three hours while I was awake. In three days I had gone through the box. In three and one-half days I was over my cold. Of course, one never knows how bad a cold one might otherwise have had. But I was impressed enough to recommend this product. Since then I have had several occasions to use Cold-Eze. It is my firm opinion that this product will lesson the severity of a cold so long as you take the tablets when symptons first begin. The tablets have a pleasant cherry flavor and are relatively cheap for cold relief products. Give Cold-Eeze a try.

Colds make one feel terrible, unfortunately we have no cure for the common cold. But here's some tips that will assist your recovery. Your throat hurts, for this eating ice has a soothing effect, also over the counter spray for of Chloraseptic is very baneful in relieving a sore throat, as well as lozenges. Ice cream, helps to coat the throat and relieve discomfort. Hot Tea, and Coffee also has soothing effect. Chicken noodle soup, helps. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, strive for fluids high in Vitamin C, such as: orange juice, apple juice, grape juice, etc.
Hope this helps. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.

Boil a cup of water, add half a spoon of honey, put some ginger into and drink it. The honey helps smoothe out the throat while the ginger is healing it. Slice the ginger thinly and put use about 4 slices will be enough.

You need just few "sweet" lemons :))) Drink or eat 3-4 lemons a day. Also for the throat mix honey with wiskey and little water. And drink tea.

Natural? Warm salty fluids for your throat like chicken soup. Warm humid air for your sinuses; like a steam room or hot bath. Very spicy food can help unblock your sinuses but motrin and sudafed work best..

Tea always helps. Echinacea and zinc and vitamin C. If possible, try sleep as much as you can. Tends to help the body heal faster.

Don't laugh, but pepper hot salsa, drains the congestion, breaks up the phlegm in your chest, you get vitamin C from the onions and peppers, sulfur compounds from the onions and garlic, and it's tasty. But don't tell the stupid F.D.A., I might be claiming anecdotal evidence only.
