Assuming as most do evolution is true the egg would come first. The modern day chicken would have evolved from a slightly older style of chicken which would have at one point laid an egg containing what we know think of as a modern "Chicken"

The Bible says God created all the animals of the world. He created the hen with the ability to lay eggs. Therefore, the hen came first.

The Egg came first as animals such as dinosaurs were having eggs millions of years before hens and chickens were around.
