Generally not, (im assuming you're using yahoo mail..) my ex-blocked me for a while and I never knew.. just thought she was ignoring me as always.. LIKE I CARE!

It depends on your settings. I've received notification that I've been blocked, but I didn't take it too personally.

not necessarily...if it's an aol account then yes...otherwise, not always
