WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Half of all Americans believe most members of Congress are corrupt -- a figure that has risen 12 points since the start of the year -- and more than a third think their own representative is crooked, according to a new poll released Thursday by CNN.

yes i do - i am homeless and all ican get as work is temporary services........and they pay so low and dont send you out every day - how can you possibly get by with that?

I believe that the system that we have in place is a corrupting influence on everyone in politics. Good people are being dragged down because we allow money to be tossed around like sand.
That is not new, but today's generation of politicos are much less likely to fight the system.
There is not other way to explain how simple everyday Americans go to Washington DC and become multi-millionaires.

Yes it is along with corporate capitalism. People do not understand the depth of the problem or how to fix it! every level of government need removal! Replacement with legal majority citizen rule & control! If we determine we need public service office workers they need to be hired and fired based on production & preformance working for the majority! No terms at all you do your job or get immediately replaced!

untill all govt.employees are not allowed to accept perks,it will continue to be corrupt.

I don't think they all are, but a lot of them are.
Why? Because in all likelihood Abramoff (sp?) is just one of many like him.
