what kind of information people who go on blogs are craving about?

a lot of bloggers that i've seen just talk about what's going on in their lives. a friend of mine is using his blog to tell stories of all the crazy things that have happened in his life, it's a really good one. you should also talk about current events, social issues, and your belief systems. that'll get people commenting.

You should start a Yahoo 360 page to blog on, then go looking at other people's 360 pages to see what's out there. You can make a link from your profile page so anyone here in Answers can go to your 360 page. Also look at the 360 pages Yahoo has marked as interesting. There's a huge variety out there; whatever you blog about, there will be someone who wants to read it.

It will never be popular if it is not well written! People want to know about your day to day life. The fun things you do, the trouble you get into, your family/wife/kids/person you are dating, etc.

nothing you have to say. there are already BILLIONS of blogs, and maybe a couple hundred popular ones. anything you can think of is already covered. there is NO fame for you, in internet-land.
you might as well say you're going to become a DOTCOM MILLIONAIRE! or get the idea to buy up website addresses that everybody wants, and sell them for BILLIONS!!! it's all been done.
