I work for Mazda in Northern Va/ DC area the cost of living is huge and i only bleeping make 14.50 fr and i have only been pulling 3.4 at the most daily all the work they give me is crap warranty or bs lof and tires , i walked out today because we were dead from 8-11 then they call me and say we have work where are you its a ops it pays ,5 i said im not sticking around for crap like that. i mean comeon. the other techs are pulling 45-60 a week and get all the good jobs. i am Ase certified , have over 7 years exp and a 2 year tech degree. What do you guys think>? is this fair? what kinda FR are you guys on?

When did you pi** the service dispatcher off?
Sounds like BS to me, and I have walked off better jobs for less reason.
Find a good, clean and well known independent facility and make some real $.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

sounds like the service manager is playing games,I agree find a non dealer shop that you might have more of a wide array of work and learn everything you can about everything you see.I worked for a two man shop in north dakota and learned more there in 2 years than 10 in a regular dealer/chain setting.

same thing is happening to some of the mechanics i work with in Michigan the higher priced shopes are sending the low seniority people home when it gets slow
