I've heard this analysis reported on several news networks, and I was wondering what Democrats think about the possibility that Iraq's insurgents want them to win the elections. Is this a sign that the insurgents think they can win in Iraq with the Democrats in charge of Congress?

Notme: But, in that case, wouldn't the violence be working against them? Why would they work so hard to make Iraq look like a failure if they wanted Republicans returned to Congress?

We all know already that if the Dems win this fall or any other time, our troops will out of there quicker than a shoplifter at 7-11 during the LA riots!
God help us if that happens!
Islamist-Fascist know the score and without us there to keep things at bay they are going to run over the entire region and prepare to attack Israel as soon as possible.
Has anyone been paying attention to President Ah-Im-Mad-Jihad in Iran? As soon as we are out of there hes going after the Islamic brass ring...."Wipe Israel off the map" Sound familiar? It should. The Nazis were preaching it 60 years ago. Can you goose-step? I know I'm not going to.

Maybe it's the other way around. They want Bush in power to create more insurgents.
I don't know what they are thinking. But if they believe americans are all warmongers, more fighting would make sense for the cause. Or, using Occam's Razor, they are just hitting back because they are being occupied, and elections on the other side of the world have nothing to do with it.

I'm an independent but that's how I see it too. Also the insurgents want to be able to get their 'rights' protected if captured and under democrat rule-- they'd get them too!

Yes. The terrorists want the democrats to win. Primarily because the message being heard by them from the democrats is that we need to cut and run. They don't like republicans similiar to the way you don't.

We are concerned that is a civil war.
Insurgent is a stupid word to begin with, they are not terrorists.
It is an ethnic war between tribes of people who have never got along and they are now using this oppurtinity to kill those they hate.

not really because we all no how poor a job the republicans are doin, look at how many people have died there
