if running downhill you should outdistance quickly uphill your food. if cant get away, lie perfectly still, no yelling no movement. good luck if i dont hear back will figure you died. Sorry

um...u are being chased by a bear and you have a computer on the internet....and are able to look at the screen and type?........yea. If you are being chased then just let him get you so you can just hurry up and die. Let nature and natural selection take its course.

Both, but mostly black bears. Black bears are smaller than the grizzly, and you can make lots of noise, make yourself look big and if worse comes to worse fight him off, If it is a grizzly, well..... play dead, and only fight if he is attacking you. (Unless either of them are mothers with cubs. Both will protect their babies)
