Two probable meanings of question
1)from where has cames the symbol of element K?
2)from where the symbols of element come?

1) Latin name for Potassium is Kalium(= alkali). The symbol has come from the initial of the latin name.
2) well, there are several techniques
a) Initial of English name.Eg-Carbon(C),Boron(B) etc.
b) Initial & the letter which is pronounced most strongly.eg- Calcium(Ca), Magnesium(Mg).
c)Latin, German, Greek & middle asian name.eg- Potassium, Sodium(Latin Natrium=Na), Copper( Latin Cuprum=Cu), Mercury(Latin Hydragyrum=Hg), Tungsten(German Wolfram=W) etc.
d) according to IUPAC, all elements with atomic no>100 will be named according to the new rule.eg- Unnilheptium( atomic no=107, Symbol Uuh; 1=Un,0=nil,7=hepta or hept.) etc.

Their english names are given according to the place where they were discovered( Yt=Ytterbium,Discovered in Ytterby, Mn=Manganese,Discovered in Magnesia), according to the name of some famous scientist( Lw=Lawrencium, Named after Lawrence), after some mythological Chracter( Ti=Titanium ,Named after titans), After some place(Fr=Francium,Named after France) & finally from the name they were used to be called in some other language( The name of Boron was derived from some Persian word, I cannot remember it correctly)

Do you mean potassium?
The name is derived from the english word potash. The chemical symbol K comes from kalium, the Mediaeval Latin for potash, which may have derived from the arabic word qali, meaning alkali.
