I think rehabilitation is very difficult for many prisoners; impossible for others. Those who are imprisoned for a lengthy term become institutionalized and can't adjust to the outside world. Others just learn more ways to commit crimes. Sex offenders and pedophiles do not rehabilitate.

That would depend on why they were locked up in the first place. Many inmates that have been in on misdemeanors get out and become productive citizens. There are tons of people who have been busted on misdemeanor drug charges that get out and get clean and some that as you say use the revolving door.
Prison is the best vo-tech school for criminals that there is, many learn to be better criminals.

Yes, absolutely. I have hired several people with misdemeanor records, who never had any other problems, were great employees and great people. Everybody makes mistakes, some are worse than others, but we all deserve another chance. I'm also convinced that one reason (among many) for criminals being repeat offenders is because they're cut off from other options once they're out, and with no chance to ever have a good job they go back to crime...

That's always going to be 50/50! Lot of people that has been locked up either deserve to be there or innocent and thrown in there anyway! If they don't have the right tools to help correct the problem they have then NO! If they do, and survive the system, then it's a good possibility YES!

Not the ones that become institutionalized for spending 10 + years. Especially if they go in young and get out old. They do not know how to be productive citizens. Plus you don’t do time like that unless you are a bad apple to begin with.

Yes I do, but not the way the system works now. And a lot of them can not be rehabilitated- they are just messed in the head- nothing can be done.
