...some Filipinos in here consistently use the beauty of Filipino women in the Philippines (along with the usual friendly people, good shopping/beaches) as a carrot to lure or entice foreign men to visit the country? I know those who it are just doing their part to promote tourism in their own land, so Is it just me who thinks this is inappropriate and possible leading to endangerment of Filipinas?
Would an American, Englishman, Aussie, Korean, etc. ever do the same thing? Probably not--because they want to avoid giving the wrong impression to potential visitors to their respective countries. What

you misunderstood my question. if you know something about asian cultures, esp. Filipinos, you would noticed that most Filipino men and women have no problem explicitly and unsubtly showcasing its women's positive in a manner similar to an Internet dating service adverstisement. Examples include frequent use of these adjectives: loyal, simple, hardworking faithful, slim, marriage-minded, seeking foreigners, etc. I don't know of any industrialized nation's tourism service promoting these aspects of their women, in so many words.

I have lived in the Philippines and I am very well-versed and fluent in their culture and language, respectively. Again, I ask that you re-read my question carefully.
As jazZzy jazZz beautifully puts it, Filipino women currently suffer from an unfair characterization in the western world as cheap tawdry desperate hookers--much more so than any other developed nation and even some of its neighboring countries. I attribute that to the mindless "marketing" of these women by their own countrymen as subservient, passive individuals who will do anything to please a wealthy foreigner. Of course its not true--but that is the perception.
Regarding naked women found on the beaches of Spain and Europe, it is absolutely not the same. They choose to be naked not to attract men around them but as an expression of individuality and their feminity. These women are not considered by others to have a hidden agenda to snag a man to marry under duress.
That's the difference.

i think it is very distasteful. especially seeing it from over here in the USA. i think it is upsetting to hear jokes about "filipino hookers" on movies such as grandma's boy, and the break up. it needs to stop- i dont want this type of sterotype to be held on me or any pinays around the world

you don't know bec. youre not a filipino.... ur not living in a third world country!!!!! the filipinos are just doing this to promote the site not for just anything!!!! There are some girls whom you think that are dirty and showing indicent acts(for you) but these girls aren't.... if you think that all filipinas are like that, then your wrong!

You are right. It plays to Westerners' who have a fetish of Asian women. Tourism should show Filipinos as a people and show their rich cultural heritage. But, then, there are those women who want to promote themselves as you have described with no help from anyone.

i think Americans, Europeans, Australians, and other asian countires might also do the same thing...and anyway doesn't commercials here in the United States also do the same thing...
...people has to have a living, people there are a bit desperate because of the corrupt government that they have.

America does it on a daily basis. Look at TV ... people promote beauty...that dosen't mean they are exploiting the beauty to intice tourisim.
It would be different if they showed beautiful women and handsome men then said ...come to our country ans have sex with the beauties.... good grief...get a grip!
next thing you will fuss about is suntan lotions showing babes in bikinis!
