I had twin boys at the age of 17. I took them to school with me. There was no affording day care. My boyfriend worked at a truck wash. He wanted to drop out, but I told him that if I had to stay, so did he. After all, it was only one year!
We ended up going to other classes to talk about how hard it was to be teen parents. They made an example out of us. It was very hard being so young with two little babies. The twins were at our High School graduation.....
That was almost 10 years ago. Since then we have both moved on in our lives and are married to other people. Now we are getting ready to go through a huge custody battle because we were too young and dumb to work it out when we had those babies. Those babies just turned ten, and are doing very well. They are both on the honor roll at school and reading on a 10th grade level! ...I also had a baby boy when I was 22. He is in Kindergarten now, and we were just at his parent teacher conference. His teacher told us that he is a model student. He has mastered everything he is supposed to and then some. He could skip to first grade and do just fine if we wanted him to. So you see how important education is to our family?
Also - I had a c-section both times. The first one was high risk 'cause I was so young. The first twin weighed 4 lbs 15 oz. The second one was 3 lbs. 10 oz. The first one was in the hospital for a week and a half, the second one was there for almost a month. The nurses got attatched to him, and cried when we took him home. The second pregnancy was a breeze. When he was born, He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. I got my tubes tied immediately after the c-section. Sometimes I regret it because I miss having a baby, but other times I have common sense enough to realize that 3 is enough for me!!!

Pregnant at 21 delivered at 22. I had a job, my own place and thought that I was totally sorted and ready to have a baby. My son is now 13 and we have managed but it has been HARD!!! I have a decent job and am well educated but at 35 I have only just been able to afford my first holiday. If only teens wanting babies understood how difficult it can be!!!!

I had my daughter when I was 38. My son when I was 39. I'm 40 now. Married when I was 37.
Got my career and found husband. Together with husband 7 years before we started family so we had enough one-on-one time together before kids came, because we hardly have time to talk to each other now. It seems like when one baby isn't crying, it's a miracle around here.
