Republicans have to sound tough because that's their M.O. and that means a lot of sound & fury especially with 9/11 happening but in reality they were just as clueless about terrorism before 9/11 as they were after it so they do what republicans do, try to kill army ants with a sledge hammer. The only problem is trying to kill all the army ants (terrorists) with a sledge hammer (US Military) is not only inefficient it will never kill all the army ants.

This GOP stratgey for killing terrorists/insurgents has been strongly reinforced by the Neo Cons in US Govt., Paul Wolowitz leading the way and he really believed that using the full force of the US military (which is a lot of substance) to transform the Middle East was the way to go the only problem is that there was no substance behind building a new nation in Iraq after the inntial invasion and the Bush adminstration is trying to fix that problem but they still can't agree on what is the best way to do that.

So there was plenty of sound & fury (shock & awe) from Republicans and a lot of military substance but very little strategic substance/planing for what happened after the invasion and that may ultimately lose the House, Senate and Presidency for the GOP.

Sound, no fury sad substance. I think all leaders should get salaries cut or get fired for emphasis on getting votes ergo giant mess. With threat of bombs this Sunday at NFL stadiums real or not more than likely we'll be sitting ducks again. Since pres of Iran has made it clear they will wipe out US then Israel and said months ago they have SEVEN sites targeted here with informers inside ,its a matter of they are bolder than US (or the war's just a front for something else cooking).

I have not been impressed with the Congressional Republicans regarding their support of the President, the Constitution or the US. They have been much sound & fury and little substance.

As opposed to the Congressional Democrats, who have been all sound and fury but with much fecal substance.
