SC/ST/OBC consists of 15%,7.5% & 32% appprox. Remaining 45% upper casts are not being supported by any party. By virtue of their sincre and dedicated efforts,this group holds best brains, donate maximumm amount to politicians, & others still there is none to ensure their due space. Reservation benefits only to INCOMPETENT & deserving GEMS among SC/ST/OBC have to suffer the stigma of reservation. SC/ST/OBC creamy layer is trying to snatch the benifits of real deserving SC/ST/OBC who are suffering due to poorness,illiteracy &no opportunity. It is also encouraging of migraton of BEST BRAINS (engineers doctors,mbas &others) from the country. Ultimately BEST BRAIN WILL MOVE OUT OF THE CONTRY.

Buy the best bargain is what drives one in every sphere of activities in life. Don't you always go to a store which offers you the most discount ? Don't you buy the car from a showroom which offers you many freebies along? Same is the case with the reservation scenario. The party which fights for more reservation to the downtrodden almost always gets most of the votes. I do agree with you on your worry that the best brain would move out. But moving out still does not put you out of the competition yet my dear. There are so many Harwards, Oxfords and Cambridges out there waiting to wage a war with you. The best brain would still have to make a big fight on competency and one can not keep moving out from one competition to another fearing competition. Make a fight of what is right there in front of you as said in 'bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

The day our politicians come to know that non SC, STs and OBC have joined hands and come together to oppose any candidate who donot promise to discontunue the reservation, the problem would be solved.

I would only add that it is even weirder when you consider the national and economic threat that out dependence on middle east oil represents. Green technology is going to be huge business whether America takes the lead or not. Why pass on the opportunity? Meanwhile we buy billions in oil from Muslims who hate us. I'll throw the GOP a bone and say screw global warming... even if its real it will only hurt future generations. But our fossil fuel use is killing our kids in the middle east right now! Lets get out of there and let god sort the place out. See... they can still be republicans and have an environmental message...

Most of the SC/ST/OBC s are illiterate,
so they used to cast their vote in block[i.e.vote bank politics].
As general caste people are educated they used to practice superior perception in politicsi.e.vote for different developemental issues.
Now at the atvent of self-destructing politics of congress and pro-quota parties, people of general category will have to cast block vote against evil parties.
There will be humiliating defeat of congress in forthcoming elections.

Majority controls minority in democracy. Very soon they will grab the power and rewrite the constitution. Then there will be a civil war.

yes, i agree with u, that's why i am here in USA. i was selected at b. j. medical college, but because of political clout, my seat was given to that stupid son of madhavo solanki. i could not become doctor, even though i was qualified, & look now, that s.o.b.is in politics. !!!!! yahoo !!!!!
