Don't know but I don't agree with it- nor do I agree with once a felon you can never vote again. Once your debt to society is paid you should be able to start with a clean slate. You screw up again- you lose that right again until your debt to society is paid again. Most criminals that repeat offend probably never vote anyway so what's the harm in letting those who learn their lesson and don't end up in prison again another chance to vote. Same with the non-violent ex felons. If there is no history to support that they have been involved with a violent act then barring them from owning guns is a punishment that doesn't fit the crime!
Have a great day!!!

If the follow the guideline of regulation , petition the court docket and win decrease back the rights they forfeited by technique of being convicted of a legal . There are already criminal remedies in position for this . No reason to jot down 1000's of up to date guidelines on the topic.

The commission of a felony, whether violent or non-, is where the line is drawn. If you wish to change that, write your congressperson. But in this day and age, you will not find many people who sympathize with giving more rights to criminals.

b/c no matter the crime they have still shown society that they make poor decisions and who is to say that it wouldn't happen again in the case of a firearm..... It all starts with making the right choices.

Because they took that right away from the victim whose life they violated by using a weapon. Now they must pay by not having that right.

...themselves...."to protect themselves"....
Why aren't you more concerned with the right to vote which you lost when you chose to break the laws of the land?
