With how quickly computers depreciate, why do you want to insure it? If you are a student, seems like a waste of money to me.

HELLO! Dont mean to state The obvious but have you just tried getting in touch with insurance companies like admiral direct line etc? Ive just typed in laptop insurance into the yahoo search bar and that's come back with a couple of things. I Have a laptop but its covered on my home insurance. try searching for laptop insurance on the net. The prob with insurance is you wont know how good it is until you need it and hopefully you wont need it!
Hope Ive been of some help!

Like a Diamond Wedding Ring. Most things of this nature are added to ones Home Insurance for a nominal fee. You may check and see if you could add it to your parents home policy. Also, you may be able to put it on your Car insurance, if, you have full coverage, not hurt to ask. This all I know to try.

Lloyd's of London will ensure just about anything (even actress's legs against vericose veins). They've been around for several hundred years. Not much chance of them being "fly by night".

I don't know about price, but... there is a certain degree of international status associated with being insured by Lloyds.

Talk to the company that you bought the laptop from. They should be able to insure your laptop.

best bet would be parents contents insurance - they should have cover for specified items including "away from home". all they would have to do is contact their insurers and have it added to their policy. if i were to drop mine im covered up to £1000 for repair or replacement - hope this helps
