a) water: If it's pure, wouldn't it be a compound? If it's not pure, then it'd be a mixture, right? I'm not sure what I'd answer for this.
b) sea water- mixture b/c u can seperate physical properties?
c) Wine- Mixture for the same reason as sea water
d) Diamond-mixture?
e) Milk- mixture?
f) gasoline- err... I want to say compound since I remember some formula for it, but it seems like a mixture.
g) Pebble-mixture?

Btw, what elements make up milk, wine, and gas?
I'm really not sure how I can tell if u can seperate something physically.

Water is pure so its just a compound

Sea water is a mixture because it has salt dissolved in it

Wine contains many impurities including ethanol (intoxicating alcohol), and the byproducts of fermentation so it too is a mixture

Diamond would be considered a compound (well pure substance because it is only made of carbon).

Milk would be a mixture because it contains water, the sugar lactose, and other biochemicals.

Gasoline is diluted with water last time I checked, so it is considered a mixture. Different octane grades have different compositions so its hard to generalize its composition

Pebbles are not uniform so its a mixture

Don't look for if something can be separated physically, look at purity. It'll make things a lot easier. If something is pure, than it contains no alternate compounds and is not a mixture.

Here's what I think
A) Pure water is a compound but impure is a mixture of water and another substance
B) Your answer is correct
C) Not exactly since wine is formed from fermented grapes. I'm not sure what it is but its not a mixture
D) Diamond is a form of preasurized carbon. I think its neither
E) Milk is a type of mixture
F) It is a Compound
G) A pebble by itself is not a an element.
Elements: The only one I know is Gas and I think it is mostly carbon.

a) Pure water is a compound and impure water is a mixture

b)Sea water is a mixture of sodium chloride (a compound) and water (another compound). But it is still a mixture because these two compounds are not chemically joined together

c)Wine is a mixture because it's components (grapes etc) are not chemically joined together.

d) diamond is an element. It is an allotrope of carbon, made up of only carbon

e) Milk is a mixture

f)gasoline can be a compound or a mixture. It depends who makes it. It can be a mixture of alkanes and alkenes or an alkane or alkene on its own.

g)A pebble is a mixture. It's made up of fragments of rocks which are made up of sand, dirt and other various particles which are not chemically joined together.

a) Pure Water - compound (Oxygen -Hydrogen)
....Not Pure Water - mixture (Water plus solids, other liquids or even gases can be included)

b) Sea Water - Mixture (Water - Salts)

c) Wine - mixture (Water - Alcohol - Flavors-Color)

d) Pure Diamond - Neither one. It´s an Element - Pure crystallized Carbon

e) Milk - Mixture (Water-Proteins-Fats)

f) Gasoline - Mixture (since pure hydrocarbon is commonly added with other substances to improve performance)

g)Pebble - mixture (it is a mineral, which is a mixture of inorganic compounds)

That's it!

Good luck!

diamond is an element, a form of carbon. so this is a compound. gasoline is a mixture of different hydrocarbons. milk is made of fat, water, casein (a protein) and vitamins a, k, d and e. wine is made of ethanol and anything else that you could find in a grape-sugars and witamins. gas is a mixture of hydrocarbons. all of them can be separated physically.

hope this helps.
