To enter special symbols into Yahoo! Answers, first type your text into a word processing program such as Microsoft Word. To insert symbols in Microsoft Word, select the Insert pull-down menu then select Symbol. You can then cut and paste your text into Yahoo! Answers.

::Inserting Special Characters Using MS Word::

To insert special characters such as a degree symbol or the Copyright character do this:

1- Put your cursor where you want the symbol to appear.

2- Select "Insert" -> "Symbol" from the top menu bar.

3- A new window entitled "Symbol" will appear.

4- Select the symbol from the list or go to the "Special Characters" tab for others. You can change to a different language or punctuation set by selecting one from the "Subset:" dropdown box instead of scrolling through the long list.

5- Once you have selected the character you want, click on the "Insert" button.

In your word processing program, click on "Insert" and then on "symbols." Then you'll see a drop-down that gives you the Greek, superscript, etc. you want. However, I have yet to find a way to do it on e-mailed items unless you "select all," "copy" and then "paste."

It would depend on the program you are using. In Microsoft Word you can click 'Insert' from the menu bar, then 'Symbol'. That opens a dialog box in which you can select the symbol you wish to enter.

in case you're working homestead windows XP you have a character map that's relatively extensive. to call it up click on [start up], elect [All classes], elect [upload-ons], and click on [character Map]. I only stumbled on the German S, superscripts are constrained to two, and subscripts are unavailable, in spite of the indisputable fact that this is particularly smart. click on the character(s) you want, click on [elect], then click on [replica]. interior the Yahoo editor, good click whereyou want the emblem(s) and choose [paste], e.g. ?????????????????, ?????????????????? what's extra distressing for me is this editor's functionality of eliminating extra advantageous areas, so commonplace representation of fractions is confusing, besides as showing the different vertical alignment.
