Catholic Clergy are NOT sexual perverts. The priests who sexually assaulted kids and stuff lied when taking their oaths of priesthood and thus they weren't really priests. A lot of the sexual harassment cases about Catholic Clergy are kicked out of court or they are found innocent but nobody ever hears since news puts in a 2 liner in the back of the paper yet when a priest is charged it's front news. You can't force people to marry especially when they are living an abstinent life. They dedicate their lives to God and thus they don't have time for such things as wives and not having wives gives them more time to become closer to God. You're question comes from a lack of understanding the Catholic Faith and saying such things is very offensive. It isn't a "hidden agenda of the Doctrine" either. Yes, there will always be corruption somewhere in the church, that's life. Every church has corruption, and no priest don't "have to do it". I would also like to know how many is "many". When was the last time you heard of a priest being actually CHARGED for sexually assaulting someone, not just accused?

Doctrine?! Yeah, it's doctrine of the Catholic Church to sexually abuse children. And that sounds right to you?

It was common until the modern era for priests to have mistresses on the side. In fact, priests were married and had children until about the 4th Century when the Pope noticed that Church possessions were being left to the wife and kids and being removed from the Church. That's why celibacy came into being for priests, yet it was common knowledge and practice for them to "step out." It was more of a monetary policy than a moral one, so as long as the money stayed within the Church, the hierarchy said nothing and even encouraged it.

I'm sure that in every era, there were perverts who took advantage of children or abused them in other ways. However, like today, there have been good, holy men who did their job for the love of God and not for sexual or monetary gratification. It is hard for a normal person to understand why aberrations occur, as it should be. If we were able to understand such things, we would be better able to excuse it.

Yes. In fact there is a lot on the history of other behavior. Behavior between priests and priests, sisters and sisters, priests and sisters, priest and children. This has been a problem that has been covered up by the media.

And yes the Catholic Clergy is Liberal Democrat strong hold.

Most Catholics were Democrats for the first 80 years of the 1900's.
