I've really gotten turned on to this show - but this past week it didn't seem much different from your basic "Law-and-Order-CSI" kinda program.

I hope they don't start to normalize it - it was terrific when it was quirky and over the top.

I have to admit, this week it got back on track! Creepyola LOL. Chopping off that guy's hand and leg parts while he's still alive?! whoa! LOL

Glad they're going to keep the edge up!

Don't ever think Showtime will normalize anything!!! I love Dexter, but I think Michael C. Hall is a great actor regardless, I really enjoyed him as 'David' on Six Feet Under. I totally disagree with you that this past week lost it's edge...it gave you insight to his first human kill and why he did it. I do think tomorrow night's episode will be more 'over-the-top', but this past week's episode was not a let down for me.
