How does "the color purple" use explicit language?? Have you ever seen it? I was raised on that movie and don't recall many curse words. Now, there are some seriously graphic cituations going on like Celie giving birth, getting raped and beat by her husband and Ms. Sophia kickin a**, but other than that it is a really good movie to watch. That film is the epitome of the black struggle in the early years after slavery.
