I want to start wearing grown up clothes at work. I have a new job and my athletic shoes, levi's, and t shirts won't cut it anymore. I want pants that look good on me (some kind of dockers or the like), but I have skinny legs, an old man's butt, and a middle aged mans belly. I'm 5 11, 175 pounds. Any ideas for flattering pants that won't exaggerate my skinny legs, flat butt, and increasing gut?

Dockers are actually a good choice for you.

My husband has the same situation. Walmart is a good place for clothes like that. A nice pair of chinos and a crisp button down shirt looks really nice. Walmart does have pants that have a strip on the side that extends if need be, that could accomodate for the belly. Look for pants that have a "flare" to them that will give you the illusion of a fuller leg. Nice carpenter pants is a good look as well. Kohls also has nice clothes for men and a great selection of shoes. A simple oxford shoe in a basic color is also nice for a more mature look. Good luck and get out there and shop.

I would recommend going to a department store and trying on several types of pants to get an idea. Once you have an idea then you can look at price.

My husband is 6'4 and weighs about 180 and very skinny legs and quite honestly I do not let him wear dockers because they always look like bags on him. There are slacks though that look good - we do a lot of Lands End - one because we have to have a 36 inseam -

Dockers or the like are a very good choice. I also love it when a man wears jeans and a tee (nice one) ora button up shirt with a casual jacket- it looks confident to me- look up American Eagles website and Gap etc and get ideas-you don't nec. have to buy from them, but they will have some awesome sales before and after xmas to get rid of last(this) years inventory-----And start sit-ups at night- even lying in bed etc, and walking- I just cut out breads and started 3 times a week- its been 4 months and 40 lbs and my whole world is different- you sound like you just need to switch around some inches! GOOD LUCK!
