The decision should be up to Tiki. He's smart for thinking about it, at least. He doesn't want to get beat down like how Marshall Faulk was. I think he would definitely retire if the Giants won the Super Bowl.. his mission would probably be complete.

well based on performance no he shouldnt retire however most people forget that these "football stars" have family in which they love. Does anybody really relize how hard it is to be an nfl player? Not only are you nicked up all the time, but you are away from your family all the time even during the off season a person still has to keep in shape and do programs. Tiki barber wrote a childrens book obviously he has good morals and family value in his heart and it cant be easy to play every year letting year after year go by with not much family time. DO i think he should retire hell ya i mean he has the money he needs get out while you still have time and your still young so you can spend time with family thats what i would do

From a Giants fan...

I dont think he'd retire even if the Giants won the Super Bowl. Yeah, there's that whole "going out on top" thing like John Elway, but he was at the end of his career... Tiki's got a few years left.

Besides... if he retired, I wont be able to jump up in the middle of my living room and yell "Go Tiki, go!" when he breaks off a 10+ yard run!

Tiki Barber is between the rarities; he has deliberate for his after soccer profession. He has many things taking place. He additionally does no longer decide to be bodily beat-up while his soccer is over. there are a number of working backs that performed too long and are actually too bodily broken to do very plenty.

He made the statement that he no longer thinks he has to win the Superbowl to define his career. I think that if they don't make the playoffs he might retire. If they win the Superbowl, he will. But if they make the playoffs and lose, he might try to come back one more year to win it all.

Nah...i don't think he should retire. to me, He's still one of the more consistent runningbacks in the league..he's got a few years left in him...good athelete, good overall person. Can't complain, and yes he should get more goal line carries...

Why would he retire. He's doing awesome. If he got goal line carries he would do even better.
