Generally I'll get the joke right away. One time, however, it took me eighteen years to get a joke my father had been telling my whole life. I was in college, and for no particular reason it floated through my head and I finally understood it. Nobody understood why I fell down on the floor laughing, especially when I finally told them the joke, because it wasn't even a very funny joke.

usually right away, but the other day I came across a joke here on yahooanswers, that I read about 6 times before I kinda got it... It also depends if you didn't grow up in the USA, it is kinda hard sometimes to relate to terms and sayings.

I usually think I am quick at jokes but someone posted a joke here yesterday and everyone was saying things like "I don't get it" including me. Hours later I was at the gym.... I probably said AHA so loud people with their i-pods on heard me!!!!

How joke is funny depends on how is told!
I hawk heard funniest jokes but told by someone who simply don't know how to tell them and believe me there was no laughter!!!
But there are people who always find something funny about jokes...and there are people who don't laugh on best told jokes!

It depends on how much I've been drinking! if I'm plastered then it takes me awhile to get a joke, but if I am sober I can usually get it right away.

Sadly I tend to take a little longer when it comes to jokes. My friends think it's hilarious and don't let me live it down. And no I definitely don't play it up for them or anything. I'm just famous for the "oh now I get it!" ........

sometimes i might get it ..sometimes it may take a min and yes they r some jokes i can be sitting around and think about it and just laugh or be some where and just laugh..it's crazy huh....
