I like picking something historical, that way you don't have to track down all the new research and technology associated with it.
Choose a famous person. Napoleon, Cathrine the Great, A king, queen or president.
A place might be fun. Pick a haunted place and do your presentation about the ghosts. You class will love it.
Castles and old houses have lots to talk about. Look up the Winchester Mystery House. A truly freaky woman built a truly freaky house.
Do it on an animal. Maybe for the presentation you could bring the animal in as a visual aid. Pick a wild animal or reptile, contact a wildlife rehabilitation center near you and ask what animals they have for teaching. Freak out your class.
Good Luck

You don't want to ask me... In the 80's, I gave my final report on Witchcraft because my teacher was a hard assed Christian Beeatch and I hated her.
I made sure it was PERFECT in every other way checked and double checked for facts, history and content, grammar and punctuation. It had everything BUT subject matter and the c**t failed me on it because she didn't like what I wrote about.
I figured as much and took my D- as a proud statement against hypocrites in higher education!
Just knowing I could have gotten her into trouble (and telling her so in front of the class) was a grade well earned for me!

what kind of presentation? You should pick a topic you are interested in, but make sure to research your topic to make sure you have enough information to complete you presentation. I was in school online and pick my own topics not fully researching it completely and having to change topics losing valuable time.

A presentation on what? how to do something? show them how to make your favorite meal or food. your favorite book? do a 1 man skit from your favorite book.
The possibilities are endless. What about a egytian, greek or roman god.
