Wear a nice suit and go ahead and wear makeup. If you show up without makeup they might think you don't know about the makeup itself. Just don't overdue the makeup your wearing. Not to much jewelry either. Just remember the people that interview you are people to. Just be yourself. To be at a counter job you need to be outgoing so show that in your interview. Have questions ready also. Good Luck

I think a lot of this depends on your size, skin color, hair color, and all kinds of things like that. Red and Black are universally safe colors to wear clothing wise. If you are African or African-American an orange dress might look very nice, but not if your skin color is very light, then you would be much better off with Black. Hair - I'm not sure if a French Coture type haircut is affordable or appropriate, but it's very classy - it looks like it is neatly pinned in the back much like how Jessica Alba often does her hair - if you are similar to size and complextion as her, you might look and see how she does things or anyone else who is similar to you. face - I think you are right about this - best to doa good job cleaning every day and go in makeup free. Now keep in mind - I don't pretend to know anything, I don't. I am a man. As you know - A man does not know how to dress a man, a man does not know how to dress a woman, but a woman knows how to dress a man and a woman very well.

Dress for the position you wish to be hired for. Don't dress too elaborately or "over-dress". Don't overdo the fragrances and makeup either. Not everyone likes to smell a lot of perfume or look at 1/4 inch thick layer of makeup. Definitely, don't wear clothing that comes from another store, such as Dilliards. Wear clothes from Macy's.

Wear fancy clothes/business clothes. Don't worry whether it's from Macy's or not. Bring your resume. Unless they tell you to show up without make-up, I would recommend wearing it. If they get the impression that you don't even want to put on makeup for a job interview, they may think you don't want to do it on your job either...

you can fake it and you might even get the job. but just go there and check out what the other girls who work there are wearing. Watch them, see how they approach customers and learn from them. Then go for
your interview. Be confident and careful.
Then take a course in Beauty at some local Occupation school. You can only improve your worth that way.
