It depends on how fast they are travelling. I've broken out some target velocities for the kids:

If they walk: 4,976 days
If they run: 663 days
If they drive: 153 days
If they hitch a ride on the space shuttle: 13.5 hours
If they morph into a photon: 1.2 seconds

Good luck! And make sure they pack a sweater!

No less than 6 hours or they would be crushed by the acceleration field. 48 to 72 hours would be a comfortable ride in a suitable craft.

Walking, skateboard, bicycle, automobile, boat, train and motorcycle are all out of the question. The road has not been built yet. An airplane would decompress.

Using the speed of human imagination, about 27 nanoseconds.

About a day and a half. You just need to get up to about 25,000 mph to escape Earth's gravity and be pointed in the right direction.

Walking or running. Oh my goodness you would have to purcahase a rocket first, and I think that would have to be put on order! Ask them if they would like to go for a trip maybe to a museum or the sea life centre (they're good). Have a nice holiday!

3 days. At least that is how long all the Apollo missions took to get there.

The distance from the moon to the earth is 250000 miles, so depending on how fast you travel depends how it takes to get there.

they get a week off right?

that should just about be long enough, but they won't get much time to take photos whilst there...

might have to be a flying visit only!
