Yes a pregnancy test can pick up pregnancy at 14 days. It takes 6 to 12 days for the fertilized egg to travel to the uterus and begin to develop then another day or two for the egg to release the pregnancy hormone hcg. You may have low hcg levels at only 14 days past conception but some pregnancy test will pick this up. You said you have taken tests with faint lines? That is still a positive no matter how faint or clear. If you are still unsure why not go to the doctors and get a pregnancy test there? Good luck.

If you get a faint line then your probably pregnant, but just wait a few more days and try again. You should definitley be able to tell by then. But 14 days is usually the time when the test will work. The HCG in your system maybe still a little low for the test to detect.

If you're asking about 14 days into your cycle, no, because you should be ovulating at that time. If 14 days after you ovulated, it could be a couple of more days until you can test, unless you buy an early detection test.
Get the tests that say the words PREGNANT, NOT PREGNANT. You waste less money because you don't have to fiddle around figuring out what the darn lines are saying.

I wondered the same thing when I took the test. The line was so light, I didnt know what to believe, but I went to the doc and he confirmed it. I was about 3 wks pregnant. I'd give it another week and try it again. But chances are if you saw a line, no matter how faint, you are pregnant.
Good Luck and God Bless:)

Normally the pregnancy hormone only appears in urine after 4 weeks. You could go to a doctor and get blood tests done to be sure but even they can be wrong too.
I would suggest wait until you miss your period - although it has been known that some pregnant women still get their period for 1/2 months...

I used the Answer Early Results pregnancy test as it tests for the lowest amount of pregnancy hormone (hcg) in your urine. Mine showed up at week 3 of my cycle, so I was really only 1 week pregnant. You can find these at most drug stores. For more information on tests that are most likely to show up very early in pregnancy, go to www.peeonastick.com.

It is possible your hormone level is still to low. I would just wait a week and test again. I think it should double like every 2 or so days.

well as far as I know there are no false positives, but their are false negatives. If thier was a faint line at ANY point chances are you are pregnant. I'd get it checked out. get your blood tested.
