Because women like to take joy in small pleasures. Throughout the span of my 26 years, one of the most common sayings I've heard about women is that its the little things that make them happy. I believe its all tied in together, a need to pay attention to the tiny details, to take joy in things no matter how small. Maybe its a defense mechanism, created so that the world does not seem so overwhelming.

Because we feel that if we don't we'll look like idiots, and the fact is we laugh at that reason because we get embarrassed. =)
