It's got to be Apocalypse Now in my opinion. The visuals alone make it certainly one of the top 10 films of all time. From the opening napalm scene to the disturbing final sequence, the film is artistically and cinematically perfect. The acting is awesome, the soundtrack perfectly compliments the movie and the plot that fritters between the madness of war and the madness of Kurtz is sublime. Granted it's not a feel good movie, but for a film with substance and meaning, you can't go too far wrong with Apocalypse Now.

This is a plainly mean question cos there are soooooo many movies to choose from, how can I possibly choose one? my top five, though, are:
1. The Matrix
2. Donnie Darko
3. The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
4. The Matrix Revolutions
5. Moulin Rouge
I apologise for that last one but everybody has an embarassing favourite film at some point...and this is mine!!

My favorite movie of all time is "To Kill a Mockingbird." This coming of age movie revolves around the two children of a single father. Over the course of about 2 years they discover the joys of new found friends, the evils of prejudice and bigotry, the truth of their own misconceptions and the thrill of finding out what makes up who their father is.
The film stars Gregory Peck in his only Oscar winning performance, is the first film that Robert Duval is in and he doesn't have a single line but plays a major role, and the acting of the children is superb.

It just has to be the Lord Of The Rings films, Shawshanks was fantastic though and 'Green mile'. I also liked 'from dreams they come' with Robin Williams. As a romantic film i liked 'Ground Hog day' and for comedy all the old 50s and 60s British films.
