If anybody thinks that I'm being racist... you obviously have NOT been around black people much. This is a TRUE occurance. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just absolutely amazed.

OK what y'all dont' know about me is that I work part time at my gf's family beauty supply store (They're Korean... how's that for a stereotype?), so I'm around black people all the time. And I'm not kidding, at least a few times a day, there'll be a customer in the store, and somebody will walk in and be all "Hey! How you been girl?" and they'll go off about family and people and I'm like "dang, they know each other's entire life stories". And there's a black employee who like knows the entire life stories of most of the customers. I'm amazed, I'm not judging.
And I am limiting this observation to black people and not white people because I don't see the same interactions around white people. Actually... I hate white people. Don't get me started.

Jimbo that is not true for E-V-E-R-Y B-L-A-C-K person an i'll tell you why!, 1) I happen to be black an I do not know anything about.....Oprah, will and Jada, Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson, etc. but what ends up in the papers, magazines, the internet<----lololol
or on the boob tube<--t.v.
2) If you feel this is truth then i believe you must live in a small, in the middle of no where town because in the Bigger cities it's impossible for any one person to KNOW E-V-E-R-Y-B-O-D-Y!!!
3) in smaller places mainly out west an in the lower south, the upper north east and even in some smaller cities in the bigger states there is some truth to your statement, but no hunny not all black people know each other.

I have not noticed that about black people, but I didn't think your question was necessarily racist or offensive. I don't think it's a BAD thing if they happen to all know each other. Actually, I think it would be pretty cool to run into someone I knew everywhere I went. Seems like the Latin people all know each other where I live. I AM NOT BEING RACIST. Some people are sensitive, so that's as far as I'm going to go on this subject...

Is this a racist remark on your behalf? I'm black, proud of it and there are alot of black people that I dont know. I think that type of gossip goes on in all races, not just black. Your assumptions are stupid, and I'm glad were not face to face because one of those assumptions would be right on the mark.

Well jimbo, it is kind of narrow minded of you to use the word every in that question! It is kind of hard to know EVERY person of the same race, especially with an ethnic group spanning the entire world. But how come your question is limited to black people; maybe that is the question you should be asking yourself?

White people stay inside and play video games and surf the internet all day.
Black people go out and play b-ball and actually mingle in sociable ways.

Because this world is not as big as everyone thinks it is.
BTW--I don't think it's a racist question, but this question could go for any race.
