You can hold your breath underwater, you just can't breathe undewater. Inhale some air, go underwater, and blow bubbles. you still have to go back up for air, but blowing bubbles helps. By the way: Did U know??Some korean divers hunt for fish as a living. They can hold their breaths underwater for 3-4 min. with minimal or no scuba gear.

In hale gently before going under water, then ehale through your nose under water once you can't hold it anymore and come up for air.
Unless this is a trick question, then ....breathe into a bag and hold the air and go under water..! LOL

I can hold my breath under water. I can't BREATHE underwater. That's what a fish does. I'm pretty sure fish don't hold their breath under water...........

I also can hold my breath under water,it's a natural reflex when going under.
Fish don't hold their breath, that's why they have gills.
