The best business will depend on what you want, how you define to be interesting. A person may consider a pet sitting business to be the most exciting work in the world, while another person would rather watch TV than take care of dogs.
The key is to determine what your interests are, what you want to do, what is suitable for your lifestyle and your overall goals, and what can fit with your resources.
Dan Ramsey in his book "101 Best Home Businesses" has a chapter on how to find YOUR best home business. He suggests these 10 steps:
1. List 5 things you do best
2. List how others would benefit from what you do best
3. Find out how to give people what they want
4. Learn the value of your services to others
5. Find out who else offers similar services
6. Learn from the successes of others
7. Learn from the failures of others
8. Plan your own success
9. Make low cost mistakes
10. Enjoy what you do and how you do it
He then made suggestions on the best home businesses according to type. Here are a few of them:

No funds? Well that is one thing you will need to build up a steady business plus a niche. Your rivals out there right now are going to be big, up and running and busy as ever. You have to think of an idea and give the web users a reason to come to you instead. What can you offer them that's better. If you are serious about this and are willing for this be your future career then you might need to take a business course or you can get help from Business Eye who can give you a some idea on how to build up a steady fund. Hope this helps. ;) And goodluck...

Hi there,
If you're looking at Network Marketing in the area of home based businesses...almost all of them require some amount of start up fee which assists you, getting products or business tools to get you started right away. Usually they're low start up fees anywhere from around $50-200. Some are higher, depends on who you're going with and where you're wanting to start at.
However you should check with the BBB (better business bureau) for legitimacy and ill complaints, ratings and praises of any company you're looking at. I found a great opportunity that now allows me to work at home at http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306 and this is a brand new situation with a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. I also read the book by Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) "The Business School". He says this is the way to go to get on the other side of the cash flow quadrant! A must read book on whatever you decide!
Good luck on your endeavor!

Since you are a guy you could start a business in the real estate industry. You could start a meet and greet service. Where you represent For Sale by Owner property owners whom want to sell their houses themselves but they don't always have the time to show the property themselves. You could be there to let the prospects in and let them look around. You could also clean the houses when one party moves out and another moves in. You could run ads for them for a fee. You could give them tips on making their home more desirable for prospects as well. You could hire someone to keep up the yard. This business doesn't require you to have a lot of skills under your belt. Also it doesn't require that you have a real estate license.
