Your family has my deepest sympathies. The first thing you need to do is have him charged in the US for the crime. This will assure that if he ever sets foot in the US, he will be arrested. I believe extradition from Zambia could be quite difficult. I would write to the US consulate in Zambia, after charges in the US have been filed, and also write directly to the Zambian government. The most important thing is to have him charged for this crime here in the US.

Go to court. Get a divorce and get full custody of your little girl with NO visitation rights ever for him. Have him convicted as a rapist and a thief. The courts will be able to tell you if there is an extradition polity with Zambia. I admire you for not only thinking of yourself; I understand your concerns about not wanting this to happen to another child. If the courts are not able to extradite him back to the U.S. to stand trial, then send his picture and his conviction to the authorities in Zambia and let them keep an eye on him. Send the information to newspapers there warning everyone about what he did.
I am so sorry this happened to you and your family. I hope your little girl is going to get help and will able to put this behind her. Your husband is a sick son-of-a-*****.
Good luck to you.

File charges against him. gather as much information about the case, and give it to the police. I hope when it happened, you took your child to the hospital. also compile her medical records. Now your daughter is going to need counseling, Please get her help, this had to be very thematic experience for a child of her age! The country that he fled, if you know where and the address, give all of this to the police. Do not let it rest, do what you have to do to see that justice is done for your child!

I would start asap before the facts get cold. I guess I would start at the bottom--local police--and work my way up the ladder of legality. If you can afford an attorney, that would be advisable. You might want to consider taking your daughter to the doctor for more proof. The best of luck to you and your daughter.

Not too much you can do with him in Zambia. In your place, move if he knows where you live, put your children in a school under another name, get on with your life. You really don't want him to "pay" ---- that would mean he would be in your life, and it doesn't sound like that is a good thing. Your husband is a rat of the worst kind. Cut that out of your life, and get on with it.....

That's horrible, I'm sorry that happened to you and most importantly your daughter. I would definitely make sure you take care of your daughter first (physically/emotionally) then I would pursue hiring someone to locate your "husband". Take extra special care of your baby. Good luck!

??? if what you say is true...If you call your local F.B.I. office, they will tell you to call your local Police Dept., File a report, have it investigated, then they will contact the proper authorities to follow up on the capture and extradition of said perpitrator. Plain and simple..GET ON THE STICK, NOW!!
