Nearest and Dearest.
They are an odd pair Hilda Baker played Nellie and Jimmy Jewel played Eli.
He was an ageing bachelor with a reputation of being one for the ladies. She on the other hand had no reputation at all when it came to romance. When their father dies, leaving them a run down pickle factory, and a load of problems, not only do Eli and Nellie have to come to terms with their new found staff, harder still they must come to terms with each other.

"Nearest and Dearest" with Jimmy Jewel
networkdvd.co.uk
Quote:-
"Comedy greats Jimmy Jewel and Hilda Baker star as Eli Pledge and his sister Nellie, in the classic, award-winning comedy – Nearest and Dearest. Aging lothario Eli and Nellie – virtuous to the last, but in possession of a wonderfully flexible grip on the English language – inherit clapped out condiment company Pledge’s Purer Pickles from their father. Much hilarity ensues amongst the malaproprisms, bolshie workforce and none-too-subtle double entendres as the siblings try their best to run a profitable company in spite of one another. Presented here is the complete second series of five episodes from 1969. "
