You can try http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/default.mspx and download either IE6 or 7, and it should integrate and pave over anything in your comp. thats screwing it up. There's also some fixes and patches there you can look at.

Since Outlook Express is included with the IEs (IE 6 for sure), it will (probably) fix your problem. Your e-mail addy and inbox are still out there...

Going back will most likely not get your mail back. When you upgrade Outlook Express should carry all that stuff over. Not sure what you did or what happened. The mail is probably still there under your profile but Outlook Express is not loading up using those files (the files that contain your mail).

It'd be sort of hard to explain how to get them back. Look for "inbox.dbx" using search. You will probably find a couple and the larger one with a date around the time you lost the mail would be the one. There is also files for "sent", "deleted", "Outbox", ect.

Basically you need to find out which files Outlook Express is using to load now and then over write those files with the ones you want it to use using the same file names etc.

Not exactly easy for just anyone to do. You may need help.

Good luck.
