Native Indians were forced in to goverment boarding houses to strip them of their Native American way..they could not speak their language..or use their Indian names...They were forced to Assimilate and blend in with the majoity of the white population...

What are your thoughts on this...
If their are any Native Indians present what do u think and did u have any ancestors that was apart of this process...
Do you think this was right ...to take their land...could it have been handled differently....please be respectful of other opinions

My wife is a native of this country and I know her people are still sad about the schools they were forced to attend. All is not lost, the Grandmothers are teaching the ways to the younger ones who care to learn.

Horrible thing to do. For them, it was do or die. You have to love our government.
