I enjoyed getting up to change the T.V. channel, but now, it is at the hand of plastic and buttons and it is a leading cause of obesity in people.

Well, I hate getting up, so yeah, I'm lazy with a remote, but I doesnt mean I dont do other activities. I dont think remote makes you lazy, I have 3 kids, so no, I'm not getting up to turn the TV after giving baths, cooking dinner, chasing toddlers, I deserve a REMOTE!!!

Its not the remote that makes you fat its the hand to mouth action and sitting on your butt. Getting up to change the channel is not going to solve the obesity problem. Not watching the tv, playing video games or even sitting on the computer all day might help. Then there is the thing called exercise. Also children are not using imaginations for play anymore. They just turn on the video games and sit all day. By the way is America the only country with remotes for the TV? You can still get up and turn the channel if you want. I guess I will still use the remote while I'm running on the treadmill.

why not include anyone around the world with a tv? I think we are all lazy with remotes especially if you are lying down under the covers and you have to change the channel!!!

yes we have !!! as we have gotten lazy with so many things. like turning on the furnace instead of cutting up wood, turning on the stove to cook a dinner that will take 45minutes when the microwave will take 6 minutes, going out side to start our car instead of hooking up the horses to the buggy,,, get my picture ??? times have changed
