I'm always there for my b/f when he needs me, even when he doesn't. I'm having a real hard time at the moment both in work , uni and at home. I really need him to talk to me. He seems more interested in other things. How do I make him understand??/

Plan a dinner for him at home, something relaxing. After dinner, maybe over desert. Or even during a foot or back rub. Tell him what you are going through. Usually when men are relaxed and happy, they want to talk. Even though he should be doing that for you, it sometimes works. Let him know, that as a couple it should be a mutual show of affection and understanding. And it should be a relationship of 50-50, not 75-25. Tell him that no matter what, you are there for him, could he please be there for you. You love him and respect him as a person. You need him to listen and talk to you. Because communication is very important in any relationship. That is the way you bond with each other, and grow as a couple. With out it, the relationship is liken to end. He is your friend, as well as your lover, and a friend is some one you can trust and talk to about all sorts of things. I really hope he will talk to you and listen, because you really need him right now.

This is a tough one, if he seems to be uninterested in you enough for you to write this question then i think that there is every chance that you are wasting ur time. If you try to talk to him and still get no response, you are probably with the wrong guy any how.

Sit him down, hold his hands, look him in the eyes with TV off & no distractions around and talk to him. Then, more importantly, make him talk to you. Communication is vital in any relationship. Good luck, honey.

you need to get rid of any distractions and ask him to talk to you, i find that if there is a distraction in the room or place he will just agree but he will not pay any attention to you. Go out for coffee or something so you can get his attention directed at you.

Its impossible, trust me. i'm the same. I sometimes feel like I do everything for my boyfriend and as soon as I need a bit of support he can't give it. Its a male thing. they lack the capability to be sensitive.

Hi,,, hmm,,,, i know your not going to like this,,, but,,, i think he thinks more of himself than you ... and this comes from a guy talking here...
I would never do a gf like that....or just a friend in general...

Personally,, you need to re-evaluate the situation...

good luck

Sit him down and put all your cards out there. Tell him that you need him to be there to listen to you just like you would be there to listen to him.

You don't, unfortunately. Talking to men is a complete waste of your time and energy....they don't listen anyway.

tell him to read your question. He might realise how desperately you need him to listen to you.

If he really wants to be with you he will try.
