Ok, so my husband and I have been ttc for a while. 2 days ago I went to the doctors for a uti. I am on medicine. Now, I have heard of women getting a really bad uti when they become preganant. My question is how many of you have and if not have you heard of this as well? I am due for my period today, but not showing any signs of it coming. I am planning on testing but I am afraid of a negative result. Also with the uti, even though I know it is common to bleed alittle with them, I had a browninsh blood. Could that have been impolantation bleeding. I did also have a little cramping during that time, which was a week ago. Please give me some opinions. Thank you and I greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

#1. don't be afraid to test because you're afraid of a negative result. Ignorance is not always bliss, especially when it comes to knowing if your prego or not. why? b/c if u are, u need to know right away so that u can start taking good care of your body (not that you're not doing that already, but still, u need to be on prenatals and eat good food and exercise and drink pleanty of water).
#2, pesonally, i've had about 2 or 3 uti's in my life but never when I was prego. when i was prego, i always made sure to whipe with those whipies, the ones that are wet and clean u better. and i alwlays wore cotton panties, to decrease the chance of a yeast infection or a UTI.
#3, doubt it about the implantation bleeding. why? because in your question u said that u should have gotten your period today. when was the bleeding? today? if today (the day you were supposed to get your period) then it's not implantation blleeding. implantation already happened if you're prego.
if you're pregnant, congrats!!!
if not, happy humping!!!

I basically had UTI'S all during my pregnancy, Was on various antibiotics (doesn't cross the placenta) but nothing worked. 9 months later, a very healthy baby.
Your UTI doesn't mean you are pregnant, but hopefully you are.
I've never experienced bleeding with a UTI, nor ever heard of it, so I'm thinking (hoping) that your bleeding was in fact implantion.
If you could hang on another day or two to test, you should get a more accurate result, or buy about 10 testing kits, lol, like I did,, trying at different times of the day etc, doing my head in.
Good luck to you both. Positive thoughts!

Yes, UTI is very common in pregnancy. Doesn't necessarily has to be "real bad", some don't even know they have it, all they got is some cramping.
As for your brownsih discharge, it is too early to tell if it is implantation bleeding or onset of your period. You just have to wait and find out. I had a little brownish discharge right about when my period was due, it turned out I was pregnant. Of course other times they were just periods..

Sure it's fine as long as you don't have the same shirt in different colors so you can wear a different one everyday, mix it up with different styles but to have a certain shirt you really like in a couple of colors is fine.

it's true that pregnancy can trigger UTIs but not all women get them though. But I've never heard that it's normal to bleed even a little with UTI. don't rush with the test, wait for a week after your cycle "due" date and then if you still don't have it go for a blood test to check for pregnancy not home tests, they do misguide sometimes.

I've never heard of any woman getting a UTI when they become pregnant. Talk to your doctor.

I think it's totally possible to be pregnant, but you'll never know until you actually check it out! Get a test done, and good luck to ya!
