Well, I don't think so. I mean for each person this differs a lot. For me it's Show must go on by Queen, my girlfriend Smells like teen Spirit, a friend of mine thinks it's Lehnon's Imagine, etc. I don't think that there is one song wich is the best of all, because there will be people who like others more. Anyway Stairway to heaven is one of the greatest (and this is something that most people agree about) songs ever. Jimmy Page had great inspiration, maybe as much as Vivaldi when he wrotw the 4 seasons. Undoubtly many people, and i find it 100% normal, will agree with you...

Dazed and perplexed, with achilles final stand coming in 2d. yet, i've got gotta disagree, i nonetheless think of Stairway to heaven is an stunning music. First Zeppelin song i ever heard, i like it no rely if that's hyped up or no longer.

I think it's one of them. But I still get sick of it when I hear it too often. Wasn't there a joke in Wayne's World about that? In a guitar store there was a sign saying "No Stairway to Heaven" and they stop Wayne from playing it.

I happen to think so. Me and my best friend in high school would drive around listening to that song talking about life, girls, what it all means, etc. and that song has such an emotional connection to me that if I'm really listening to it (not just in the background), I nearly always tear up towards the end when it builds up to end part, starting when Plant sings "and as we wind on down the road."

It's a great song, but not the best... there are too many great songs out there to really say one is the "greatest"... we are all entitle to our own option though.

Well, I think it's def' One of the greatest for sure. I just wish radio didn't beat it to death. That killed its 'mystique'....
