Write and visit as much as possible, when you feel the baby move go visit him a let him feel if you can, and when things happen write them out and start a note book on each day of your pregnancy and include pictures as you get bigger that way he will feel like he is right there and looking at picture of you getting bigger also will help him. Good luck and Congrats on the baby and I will prey for you to be strong during this time. Because being pregnant is a joyous time and when your feeling sad just think of that. Good Luck and God Bless...........

HOW could you call this a "joyous time" in your life? WHY is the father (not married?) in jail ? WHY would you want to include him? It was not his fault, right? Someone framed him?
My thought is if he cared for you and his unborn child, the two of you would be married and he would have a decent job to support you. This cannot be a happy time in your life. A father is supposed to be there from the beginning to share the responsibility.

While he is incarrerated send him letters telling him what your are feeling (baby movements, etc.). After the child is born - send lots of pictures - depending on how long he is incarrerated. This should all work unless he wants nothing to do with the child. Good luck.

Videotape the event and also take pictures. You could also go down to the courthouse and ask if he can attend the birth. It may or may not work. It might give the father something to think about i.e. changing his ways. Sometimes they let inmates go to funerals. Good Luck.

Take lots of pictures for him to see. and video tape alot . I know you can't go following your child every second of the day. And tho its important for your child to know its father .... but my self i wouldn't take my baby to see its father in jail. Places like that are no place for babies !

Video. Take lots and lots of video so that he will see everything when he returns. If you can send pictures, do that also. Keep a diary handy and write down the daily cute things or accomplishments that your son does. Hope you are all re-united soon.

Can you send him photos or record a DVD?
Maybe send him footprints and hand prints and letters from the family about his new baby?
Maybe send him a scrapbook to keep to organize and decorate the way he sees fit and continue to send pics and things for him to fill it with.
Ask him to write a letter to his baby and put it in the baby's Bible for he/she when they grow up too.
Pray alot, it will help, encourage him to seek out the prison priest for guidance.

You would have to talk to someone from the prison about visitation and thing of that nature, I do know that they will release him for your child's birth, just like they would for a funeral. Its possible, you just have to ask. Maybe you should check into hiring an attorney or asking the one he already has.
good luck and congrats
