If you are talking about paint drippings it could be a splatter of paint or a blotch of paint could be used. You will be getting a lot of answers so choose the one you think is best that fits what you mean.

Depends on how much paint you have. A gallon of paint. A pint of paint. A tube of paint. Etc.
On a canvas?: A dab of paint, a slather of paint, a stroke of paint, a dollop of paint -- that is all open to your creative description of the way it looks or the manner in which it was applied.

Paint isn't like an animal. Paint doesn't run in prides or herds or flocks or packs. It is quantifiable by volume or called subjectively by its appearance.

If it's poured out on the floor, you could say "puddle of paint". A blotch of paint on the wall could be called a "splatter of paint".
