why do kids and teen love video games especially the volient ones?

kids and teens love violent video games cuz they cant do in the real world. they feel more powerful when they are playing a game with violence because u cant get in trouble for it.

o yea cuz they are fun! thats what i play them for.

I really liked video games and help me grew more consicous about them.

I been playing video games for 19 years now and been all on nintendo even though I hate fighting. Maybe it is because since age 5, my mom were very cautions on the games and plays them herself to see if it's safe. There were an problem around when the playstation 2 and X-box came out 15 years later and she got upset when there is no selection of games that are rated E and not TV/movie related. So she threw away the playstation 2 and brought a nintendo. I did not know why until recencly. I eventually learned why.

Many major systems chains, like Sony and microsoft, has a huge selection that is for teen (T) and/or mature(M), which is obiviously volient. On those systems, the only games that may rated for everyone (E) is only TV/movie related games, or games that are based from TV shows and movies, which many kids hate. (Seriously, all of my young relatives hated those type of games.)

From someone whom is now taking care of neices and nephews, this is common to know about games.

It's Psychology...

As for those with fighting, anything that will rouse a natural human instinct (anger, fear, lust, etc.) catches the attention of the person subject to it.

As for video games in general, That comes with the same general principle of why people watch TV or use the internet. If something is moving faster than you are, it catches your attention, and if you can control it to some degree, you become entranced by it. I can't really say why, but that's just the way it goes.

You seem to be someone who has never played one...

I've been playing games all my life, and the most violent ones are more fun. It sounds bad, but everyone has a disgruntled person on the inside who just wants to duke it out with everyone they see. In the virtual world, one can do this with little or no punishment. In other words, violent video games are extremely great stress releivers, and this day and age has teens in extremely stressful situations with parents pushing on them for grades, themselves pushing on themselves for grades, trying to find out what they want to do with the rest of their life, after school activites taking up all their time, homework stressing them out, social problems... all things I am currently facing as a senior in high school.

So do violent video games make people more violent? Depends on the person: if they are hyperactive, then they should not be playing video games as they will probably go out and harm someone. This however, is the responsibility of whoever is watching them. If they are more sane, like an average person is, then they will probably find themselves having a good time if they open thier mind enough to play one of these "dirty, violent" video games they hear are bad for your health.

In the end, don't knock it until you try it. Hillary Clinton, for one, definitely has never done so. And if she is elected president, we can say goodbye to all of our media that shows even the slightest "dirty desire." So, my advice, go try one. Maybe Grand Theft Auto?

i suppose it's because fight is a universal game ( has always been, for humans and animals), and in the video games you can figth as hard as you want without hurting anyone.. i'm not a v game fan, but i like them because there i can do what i can't do in reality.. magic, figth, .........
