Do they think that the likes of Mark Foley and Tom DeLay are paragons of virtue? What about Jack Abramoff? Also, Newt Gingrich left his cancer-stricken wife for a woman he had been screwing for some time. (At least Bill is still with Hillary.)

bottles: Your wish is my command. What is so immoral about our beliefs? Is there anything wrong with wanting to expand educational and career opportunities for the not-so-rich? Is there anything wrong with wanting to protect the environment and the health and safety of workers and consumers? Is there anything wrong with wanting to keep the rich from screwing over the poor? Is there anything wrong with wanting women to get the same pay and opportunities as men and for them to have complete autonomy over their own bodies? Is there anything wrong with wanting to provide health care to those who can't afford it?What exactly is immoral about our core beliefs?

Armygirl91: I'm not denying that there are immoral Democrats out there. However, I am bringing up the fact that the Republicans often like to bring up the Democrats' immorality while ignoring that of the Republicans.

BETTER QUESTION:
Why do Republicans ignore the fact that their party has been usurped by PNAC, ignore PNAC's PUBLICLY STATED plans of American global domination, ignore that PNAC's key founders now run the Pentagon, the Defense Department and the White House. How can they possibly support the raping of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, democratic process (with Bush's unconstitutional use of 'signing statements'), and the ruination of every legal premise that DEFINED America throughout it's history?
(Vice President Dick Cheney is a founding member of PNAC, along with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Defense Policy Board chairman Richard Perle. Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz is the ideological father of the group. Bruce Jackson, a PNAC director, served as a Pentagon official for Ronald Reagan before leaving government service to take a leading position with the weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin. William Kristol, famed conservative writer for the Weekly Standard, is also a co-founder of the group. The Weekly Standard is owned by Ruppert Murdoch, who also owns international media giant Fox News.)
Get with the program, buddy...they are ALL selling us out. Your party loyalty leaves NO loyalty left for your COUNTRY.

As another writer pointed out .... The Democrats DO control the congress. Harry Reid (a democrat) is the majority leader for the Senate and Nancy Pelosi (a democrat) is the majority leader for the House. 1+1 = 2 .... Congress is controlled by the democrats. One other writer was partially correct when he stated that it takes 2/3 majority to truly control congress ... but ... only because that is what is required to override a Presidential Veto. But ... the conservatives have a very difficult time even INTRODUCING new legislation without a simple majority so that constitutes "control" to me ... just not "absolute" control. So ... if you truly don't understand this stuff ... you probably need to go back to school or study on your own. Lord knows this country would be a better place if you had to prove your understanding of the constitution and prove you had a capacity for logical thought before you were allowed to vote. So ... here's a test .... Do you believe you have a "right" to vote in a Presidential Election? If you answered "Yes" ... you'd be wrong. There is no constitutional Right to vote for a president. This was held up by the Supreme Court. If you doubt me ... look it up. It's fact.

Because they cannot count on liberals to take their own to task for bad behavior. Liberals are great at passing judgment on anyone who doesn't agree with them, but let one of their own get caught in a scandal and suddenly it's one of 4 strategies.
The stupid defense: It didn't happen and your stupid if you believe it. Just some Republican sheep.
The overblown defense: You are just blowing it out of proportion, it was nowhere near as bad as what that Republican did.
The were not the paragons of virtue defense: The Republicans are the moral ones, we never said that. Works well in conjunction with the overblown defense.
Intolerant Defense: You are intolerant, you are a racist, a bigot, a woman hater, or war monger.
Liberals are great in the role of the pot calling the kettle black. Nobody buys it, especially not moderates, and most will admit that both sides do it, but the Republican and Conservative electorate do not give an open pass to everyone. If you show wrong doing they demand answers and in some cases heads. Liberals only demand that Republicans answer for their transgressions, not other liberals and Democrats.

First, I am glad that you acknowledge that Democrats are immoral.
From what I see, if you look at the questions asked here lately, there are far more questions about Foley posted by liberals/democrats that vice versa.
Yes, there are problems with Republicans, but these peoples careers end up in ruins. In the democrat party, they celebrate bad behavior.
The fact that Bill and Hillary are together is NOT a plus in my book. It makes a mockery of marriage. I do not see it as honorable. Open marriage is NOT marriage.

I am tired of voting for people who tell lies to me. Even though many people say it's compromise, by handing them a free vote, aren't we giving them PERMISSION to lie? Enough is enough.
Overall the Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance, beliefs or so-called MORALS.
I vote third party but sometimes there's not a choice. If I see a DorR only, I don't pick. I won't be responsible for putting big money hand-shakers back into office. The government used to be filled with statesmen and nobility. It's time to REJECT those backstabbers.
You have more choices than you are led to believe. To see ALL of the ballot choices in your district, go to NON PARTISAN Project Vote Smart

Because they have nothing else to go on. I heard a prominent Repub talking about the repub who gave business to his daughter. All he could talk about was how the dems leaked it now on purpose, when the host said "But the Dept of Justice is all repub-appointed... would you expect them to wait until after the election?" And the guy actually got offended!! He was offended that the host would suggest the dept of justice would be politically motivated just b/c they were repub! After he just got done accusing the dems of the same thing.
My jaw dropped.

By focusing on the immorality of Democrats, Republicans avoid focusing on their own immorality and flaws. It's human nature.
If someone points out that Bush has killed or injured 655,000 Iraqis and 22,000 U.S. soldiers, Republicans will cry, 'Foul!" - claiming that Bush isn't nearly as bad as Hitler, who killed 6,000,000 Jews or Stalin, who killed 10,000,000 of his own countrymen.
If someone remembers that Republicans spent millions of taxpayers' dollars impeaching Bill Clinton for lying to Congress about an extra-marital affair involving two consenting adults, Republicans will counter by saying that all Mark Foley did was prey on innocent young pages with illicit e-mails.
Congress is full of pedophiles, wife beaters, adulterers, rapists, bad-check writers, liars, cross dressers, shoplifters, alcoholics, petty thieves, homosexuals, drug abusers, and maybe even a murderer or two. Their stock-in-trade is focusing on their opponents' shortcomings while ignoring their own. -RKO-

Because, simply put, the Democrats core beliefs are immoral to us. Not the criminal behavior to which you are referring(both sides have criminals). THE CORE BELIEF SYSTEM OF DEMOCRATS IS IMMORAL TO US REPUBLICANS. GOT IT. Please EDIT* if you need more. Oh, PLEASE DO.
EDIT* I think when I requested an EDIT* I was meaning a 'timely' edit. Not a cowardly act of responding an hour or two later, so that you could not be exposed in front of your peers. Try again and you'll get what you're looking for.

Somebody has to talk about it. We can certainly not depend on the media to do it. They are too determined to bring down Bush and try to destroy the lives of Republicans to do their jobs and investigate in an unbiased way.
