Actually i've just thought was'nt This is Spinal Tap an American film and thats quite an ironic statement... Maybe they do but it just dosent suface in much of their popular culture...?

Wit is lost on them, sarcasm too. In the uk they would laugh in america they would try to flatten you.

Ironic is like training Osama Bin Laden to fight the Russians and then 9/11 occurs.

Yeah, I never understood why that song was about irony. If it rains on your wedding day, well that sucks, but what's ironic about it?
